Fifty Digital appointed as creative social media agency for Premiership Rugby
Fifty Digital, the multi-award winning creative social agency in sponsorship and sport, are delighted to announce a new partnership with Premiership Rugby.
After a competitive pitch process, Fifty Digital have been appointed as Premiership Rugby’s new creative social media agency, tasked with delivering their objectives through market-leading content.
Premiership Rugby runs Gallagher Premiership Rugby, the most competitive domestic league in rugby union with some of the best players in the world. Premiership Rugby also runs the Premiership Rugby Cup and is a partner in the running of both the Heineken Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup.
After three seasons of disruption due the COVID-19 pandemic, Premiership Rugby has undergone a major strategic reset and is building a consumer facing enterprise.
Within this reset, Fifty Digital’s goal is to define an approach to social storytelling that increases awareness and visibility for Premiership Rugby. As well as growing the appeal of the competition within the loyal fan base, the challenge is to position rugby and its players to a new generation of fans.
Using audience trend and behavioural insight, Fifty Digital will build a strategic plan and focus on new formats and platforms to foster a more contemporary creative approach for rugby. As well as aligning content to the national and international rugby calendar throughout the season, Fifty Digital will bring to life key tentpole moments such as the Rainbow Laces campaign to transcend fans across rugby and sport as a whole.
