Fifty Digital at Sports Industry Awards

Fifty Digital Shortlisted for Two Sports Business Awards

The Fifty Digital team received some excellent news on Friday, as the shortlist was announced for the 2020 Sports Business Awards.

As well as being shortlisted in the prestigious Agency of the Year category, there was a nod for the Rugby World Cup – for which Fifty were the lead creative agency – in the Best Sports Event of the Year category.

Being named amongst the six finalists for Agency of the Year follows an amazingly busy and productive twelve months at Fifty, with work on major global events like the Rugby World Cup 2019 and World Athletics Championships 2019, alongside continued involvement in motorsport seasons such as Formula 1 and Formula E, and other sports across the globe.

The inclusion of the Rugby World Cup is a great endorsement of the team and World Rugby’s hard work together. This was the most popular and engaged RWC in history, with 6x more social media views than the 2015 tournament. In total, there were 2.1bn organic video views, at a 6% engagement rate, including 600m+ minutes of organic non-live video watched.

The RWC social accounts saw unprecedented growth, with 1.8m new followers gained across all channels, an increase of 15.6%. The Japanese channels grew by 128%, gaining 337k new fans during the tournament.

We’ll have to wait until December to find out the winners. But, in the meantime, you can view the full list of finalists here.
